Breeding Update

We decided to breed so that we would have some juniors for PSARBA in February. I had been wanting to breed Apple for some time now so we went ahead and paired her with Thomas. This is the first try with Thomas and we will see how it turns out.

Apple weighted 13 lbs today. She is looking so good. The first time she made a nest, last year, she pulled so much fur she looked like she had the mange. I am hoping that she doesn't do that again this time. Here is a picture of my Giant Green Apple Dumpling.

She is three years old and a great mother. She usually has 9 kits and keeps them all. I especially love her color. It doesn't show that well in the image but her ticking is beautiful.

Thomas was purchased specifically for her. They come out of Dr. Knott's line in West Virginia but they do not share a pedigree. Both are darker with dark brown eyes and wonderful personalities. Here is a not so great picture of Sir Thomas of Deanshire.
