The Carroll County 4-H Rabbit Club decided to have a memorial show for Mike and Sherry Wade. They put on a great show, with wonderful food, this past snowy Sunday. I am sure that a lot of people didn't come out who wanted to because of the weather.
We made it, but a little late. We took 5 Giant Chinchilla Rabbits. With no competition other than ourselves, we easily took Best of Breed and Best Opposite Sex.
It was nice to have the judge all to ourselves and benefit from an in depth evaluation of our bunnies. We now have a more firm, judge encouraged, plan for improving our line of Giant Chins.
Overall the show was a success. I think that the 4-H was able to raise a good deal of funds for the Wade Memorial Scholarship.
I do have to mention again that the food was wonderful. So good, in fact, that I strongly encourage that other shows follow in their lead. We spent more money on food at this show than we have spent at all the other shows put together.
They had real eggs, real pancakes ....... real ..... just about everything. The deserts were great as well. In fact it was so good that we purchased some to take home. I didn't hear any of the judges or other participants complain about the food in any way. Great Job Kitchen Staff!!!!! :)
